With the expansion, the municipality of Handewitt, which is located on the Danish border, wants to establish a comprehensive and future-oriented fiber optic network. Around 640 underserved buildings within the white spots are to be supplied with broadband using 110 km of route construction, 755 km of fiber optic cable and 33 new technology sites to be set up. The municipality is awarding three specialist lots for the implementation of the expansion. The overall construction project is expected to begin in summer 2020.
