Rapidly growing residential areas on the outskirts of Prague form a link between Prague and the surrounding regions. The further development of Prague’s infrastructure requires a commuter rail concept to increase the prosperity of the emerging economic area. Starting from the three main railway stations in Prague, the suburban railroad lines will significantly improve the growth rate and value of the areas gaining access to the suburban railroad network. MRK was able to confirm the feasibility (technical, economic, political) in the initial phase, developed the concepts and presented the first drafts for the infrastructure planning.
