Since 2019, MRK Media AG has been supporting e.discom Telekommunikation GmbH in the realization of the subsidized broadband expansion in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The aim is to improve broadband coverage in underserved areas with the help of a fiber optic network infrastructure (FTTB/H) and to close existing coverage gaps sustainably and comprehensively, especially in commercial and residential areas.

In several tenders, MRK Media AG was able to win sub-areas in Märkisch Oderland, Uckermark and Vorpommern-Greifswald and is taking on the following tasks:

• Approval planning
• implementation planning
• construction supervision
• Surveying and documentation

In the planning phase, the draft planning (structural planning) provided by e.discom is reviewed, adapted to the local conditions and optimized. The specially developed PlaNet software is used for this.

In the expansion phase, MRK Media AG takes over the construction supervision and surveying and ensures qualitative monitoring and testing of the construction work.
